SUBMISSIONS
Entries can be submitted by brand owners, their agency, representative or consultant. In the case of an agency, representative or consultant making a submission on behalf of a brand owner, the entry form must be counter-signed by an appropriate representative from the client company. All entries must be sent by courier or hand delivered.
Judges' Decisions
The judges' decisions are final and neither the organising committee nor the judging panel will enter into any correspondence, written or verbal, regarding results.
The Judging Panel
Any judge who has an interest in or an association with a brand or nomination for a The Gemas Effie Awards MENA 2011 will not be involved in the discussion regarding the submission or any part of the judging process for the nomination.
Copyright & Confidentiality
When submitting entries, please be aware that extracts of the submissions may appear in print in GMR, its supplements, GMR-online or any other Mediaquest publication. Please ensure that the necessary permission has been obtained from any external suppliers. This is the responsibility of the entrant. Please make third parties aware that the material may appear in print in GMR, www.gmr-online.com, twitter, and other media from within the Mediaquest Corp. and that it is free of rights conditions.
Show Reel Instructions
This is a 4min show reel, which showcases the creative elements that brought the big idea to life. It should include at least one example of each integral communication touch point mentioned in the case study. Elements must directly relate to your Strategic objective and Results. You can mention percentage of growth as results but not figures as the winning entry will be aired on the night of the event.
Multiple Submissions
The same submission may be entered into more than one category. However, the submission document should be tailored to meet the specific requirements of the category it is being entered into. It is not acceptable to simply enter the same paper in a number of different categories. The administration fee for submission is payable for each category entered.
Entry Fee
There is an entry fee of US$275 for each entry in each category, which must be paid at the time of the submission.
Period of Marketing Activity
- Entries must focus on marketing initiatives implemented 1st July 2010 - 31st July 2011 (with the exception of GEMAS Marketer of the Year, who is nominated by through a Survey.
- Any entry with the main activity occurring during the above-mentioned period will be eligible subject to terms and conditions; however, it will be those that supply the maximum amount of evidence in support of their claims that will carry the most influence with the judges.
Confidentiality
- Materials submitted as part of a nomination will be treated by the Organising Committee and the judges as confidential.
- Winning case studies may be written up and published in GMR, its supplements or other Mediaquest publications based on material provided. However, our publications will respect any annotation made by entrants who highlight and mark any areas of sensitive information, such as information contained in their balance sheet, profit and loss account or marketing reports, as "not for publication" It is the responsibility of the entrant to ensure that the editor of GMR is made aware in writing that information is not for publication.
